Brinsupri (brensocatib)
Non-cystic fibrosis bronchiectasis in adults · Pulmonology (NCFBE)
About Brinsupri
Brinsupri (brensocatib) is an oral, once-daily dipeptidyl peptidase 1 (DPP1) inhibitor developed by Insmed. It is approved by the US FDA to reduce the frequency of pulmonary exacerbations in adults with non-cystic fibrosis bronchiectasis (NCFBE), a chronic inflammatory airway disease with no previously approved targeted therapy.
Brensocatib works by blocking activation of neutrophil serine proteases in the bone marrow, lowering the neutrophilic airway inflammation that drives exacerbations in NCFBE. The Phase 3 ASPEN trial showed a significant reduction in annualised exacerbation rate versus placebo.
Reserve Meds coordinates Brinsupri access for international patients through Named Patient Program and personal-import pathways where the drug is not yet locally registered. Eligibility requires a confirmed NCFBE diagnosis and a prescription from a pulmonologist in the destination country.
